A strong support system can help scholars stay organized, meet deadlines and make informed decisions about paying for college.

Encourage scholars to start early. Help build a scholarship calendar. Prepare recommendation letters in advance. Complete the FAFSA as early as possible. Ask colleges about institutional aid.
