The FAB Scholars 2025 Scholarship:
Empowering Students to Evolve

The From A Butterfly Scholarship Foundation is committed to uplifting students from underserved communities by providing educational funding and college and career-readiness support. Our 2025 scholarship is designed to support a high school senior in NYC heading to college this fall and is dedicated to personal growth, leadership, and resilience.
Scholarship Award:
- Amount: $1,000
- Application Period: March 15 – April 25, 2025
- Winner Notified: May 15, 2025
- Award Disbursed: June 2025 (sent directly to the recipient’s college)
Eligibility Criteria:
✔ Must reside in or be permanent residents of one of NYC’s 5 boroughs:
Bronx, Brooklyn, Manhattan, Queens, or Staten Island
✔ Must be a U.S. Citizen, Permanent Legal Resident
✔ Must be a high school senior entering college in Fall 2025
✔ Must demonstrate your financial need (FAFSA submission required), defined by Pell eligibility
✔ Must show commitment to personal growth, leadership, and resilience
How to Apply:
- Complete the online application (below).
- Submit a short essay (500-750 words):
Prompt: FAB Scholars believes in the power of transformation, resilience, and evolving into your best self. Share a pivotal moment in your journey that shaped who you are today and how you plan to continue evolving in college and beyond. - Submit a 2-3 minute video sharing your dreams and how you plan to evolve in college.
- Submit your FAFSA information to verify financial need.
- Optional: Include a recommendation letter from a teacher, mentor, or community leader.
